Overview of Brow Lift

The eyebrow and forehead regions are lifted by using small incisions behind the hairline.  Scars are typically well hidden by the hair.  This procedure is commonly combined with eyelid surgery.

Anesthesia type:  General or IV sedation

Length of surgery:  2-3 hours

Risks:  Infection, bleeding, delayed wound healing, nerve injury, asymmetry, poor scars, hair loss, need for revision procedures

Average recovery time:  Return to work in 7-10 days; start to resume normal activity in 2-3 weeks; feeling back to normal in 4-6 weeks

Duration of effect:  8-10 years
